What's so great about High Pressure?!

High Pressure lamps block out almost all UVB
(or 'burning rays') virtually eliminating the risk of
getting sunburn.  UVA rays (or the 'tanning
rays') penetrate further for a deeper, darker, longer
lasting tan allowing for more time in between
sessions.  UVA also produces more of a brown
color, instead of the reddish-pink tan that is
common from UVB.
Since High Pressure allows tanners to tan without
burning and to tan less often, High Pressure is often
thought to be much less damaging to the skin.  High
Pressure was first used just above the face, as
shown in the Fiesta (above) and the Orbit (left),
where signs of aging are more predominant.
Because of the convenience and great results
provided by High Pressure tanning lamps they are
now incorporated throughout the entire bed.  The
Omega (right) is completely High Pressure, and the
Ultra Classic 650 (below) is a combination of High
Pressure and traditional tanning lamps.  While they
are more expensive per session, they are intended
for only 3-4 sessions per month to maintain your tan!
